Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI K100 Pro series in China. The phone packs an 8,580mAh battery into a compact 6.59-inch body and pairs it with an OLED panel that runs at up to 185Hz. Pricing starts at 3,699 yuan (about 89,000 yen) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, aiming squarely at the crowded 4,000-yuan flagship tier. A higher-end K100 Pro Max arrived alongside it.
An 8,580mAh cell in a 6.59-inch frame
The battery is the headline here. At 6.59 inches, the K100 Pro is on the smaller side by current Chinese flagship standards, yet Xiaomi still fit in 8,580mAh. An energy density of 945Wh per liter is what makes that possible, so the capacity did not come at the cost of a thicker chassis.
Charging covers 100W wired and 50W wireless, with reverse charging at 27W wired and 22.5W wireless. That is enough to top up earbuds or a smartwatch simply by resting them on the back of the phone.
A dual-chip setup driving 185Hz
The processor is a variant of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite (model number SM8850-1-AB), paired with Xiaomi's own D2 AI gaming display chip in a dual-chip arrangement. D2 handles hardware image super-resolution, which lifts frame rates while keeping the rendering load down. AnTuTu puts the overall score at 4.09 million.
The 6.59-inch flat OLED panel is the first to use M11 emitter material. It supports adaptive refresh up to 185Hz and peaks at 4,500 nits in a 25 percent window. The interesting part is the pixel layout: instead of the PenTile arrangement common to OLED, it uses a full RGB "super pixel" structure, so while the resolution itself is not 2K, the perceived sharpness is said to approach it. The cover glass is Xiaomi's own Dragon Crystal Glass 4.0, which also improves drop resistance.
A 200MP main camera and a 2.5x telephoto
The camera is a triple setup. The main sensor is a large 200MP unit that can output at either 100MP or 200MP and uses pixel binning for what amounts to optical-quality zoom. The telephoto is a 50MP 2.5x lens with a 60mm equivalent focal length, tuned for portraits. It focuses as close as 10cm, so it doubles as a telephoto macro. The third camera is an 8MP ultra-wide.
The phone carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, the latter covering high-temperature, high-pressure jet washing. Other hardware includes a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, symmetrical stereo speakers tuned by Bose, and NFC for transit cards and door-key emulation.
Pricing from 3,699 yuan, plus the Pro Max
Launch-sale pricing for the K100 Pro is 3,699 yuan (about 89,000 yen) for 12GB + 256GB, 4,099 yuan (about 98,000 yen) for 16GB + 256GB, 4,299 yuan (about 103,000 yen) for 12GB + 512GB, and 4,699 yuan (about 113,000 yen) for 16GB + 512GB. Each of those is 300 yuan below the regular price, which starts at 3,999 yuan. With China's consumer electronics subsidy applied, the effective entry price drops to 3,199 yuan (about 77,000 yen).
Colors are black, white, Cabernet red, and "Firefly Chaser." That last one uses a phosphorescent material that absorbs light during the day and glows faintly in the dark; shine a flashlight or a UV lamp on it and you can draw patterns on the back panel.
The K100 Pro Max steps up to the non-variant fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite and scores 4.55 million on AnTuTu, positioning it as the gaming-focused option.
