Topre, the maker of the capacitive-switch REALFORCE gaming keyboard line, unveiled three collaboration models at its booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The lineup includes a new Pikachu-themed edition built around the Pokemon franchise and the second round of a collaboration with two talents from the VTuber group hololive. All three are based on the flagship GX1 Plus keyboard.

Three New Models Shown at the TGS Booth

At the Topre booth during Tokyo Game Show 2026 (running September 17-21 at Makuhari Messe and TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall), three collaboration keyboards built on the Japanese-layout, 91-key GX1 Plus were put on display. They include the GX1 Plus Keyboard Pikachu Edition, themed around Pokemon's Pikachu, and two REALFORCE x hololive GX1 Plus Keyboard models featuring hololive talents Hakui Koyori and Otonose Kanade. The hololive collaboration is a second installment following an earlier model.

What the GX1 Plus Brings to the Table

The base GX1 Plus uses Topre's long-running capacitive, non-contact switch mechanism, which the company has refined over the years for durability and consistent keystroke feel. Because the switches have no physical contact point, the keyboard combines that signature quiet, tactile typing feel with gaming-grade responsiveness, including support for an 8,000Hz polling rate.

Pikachu Edition: Design and Specs

The Pikachu Edition features a gray-toned body with a design that evokes Pikachu's electric type. The top plate carries a Pikachu silhouette and its Pokedex number, "No. 0025," while the yellow accent keycaps are printed with icons of Pikachu's feet, tail, and back view. Seven bonus keycaps spelling out "PIKACHU" are also included. The switches use Topre's capacitive, non-contact mechanism with a 45-gram actuation force, and the board supports an 8,000Hz polling rate. Pre-orders are expected to open in late December 2026; pricing has not been announced.

Two Models in the Second hololive Collaboration

The Hakui Koyori model is based on a light pink and white color scheme with purple and orange accents drawn from her personal image colors. The Otonose Kanade model uses light yellow and white as its base, with a musical-note motif reflecting her theme. Both come with original artwork key visuals and an acrylic stand, and are expected to be sold in limited quantities. Pre-orders for both are planned to open in late February 2027, with pricing also yet to be announced.

An Emerging TGS Tradition

In recent years, Topre has made a habit of unveiling limited-edition REALFORCE collaboration keyboards around Tokyo Game Show, and this year's three models continue that pattern. Throughout the show, the Topre booth is also handing out novelty clear files alongside the keyboard displays. This is not the first hololive collaboration for REALFORCE either; earlier models featuring other talents preceded this second installment.

Summary

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Topre unveiled a Pikachu Edition and two hololive-themed models -- for Hakui Koyori and Otonose Kanade -- of its REALFORCE GX1 Plus gaming keyboard. All three retain the base model's capacitive, non-contact switches and 8,000Hz polling rate while adding collaboration-specific designs. Pre-orders for the Pikachu Edition are set to begin in late December 2026, and for the hololive models in late February 2027, with pricing details still to be announced.
