Anthropic introduced "Reflect," a new feature for its Claude assistant that lets you look back on how you have been using the AI. Much like a music app's year-in-review, it surfaces which topics you have spent time on and how you tend to work, and it is now in beta for Free, Pro, and Max users who have memory turned on. You can generate your own usage report from the settings screen.
A "Spotify Wrapped" for your Claude activity
Reflect summarizes your interactions with Claude over a chosen period and shows the bigger picture of your usage. It pulls together the topics you covered most, your usage patterns, and the kinds of tasks you handed off to Claude, presenting them in a way that is similar to a streaming service's annual recap. The result lets you see your own tendencies through concrete numbers and keywords.
You can look back over the past 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. Anthropic says it also plans to add a view showing how much time you have spent using Claude. Rather than simply listing your history, the feature is designed to let you step back and consider the role Claude plays in your daily life and work.
Prompts that make you reconsider, and settings that encourage breaks
What sets Reflect apart is that it goes beyond visualizing numbers. As part of the recap, it poses questions meant to make you think. One example is, "What's one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?" — a prompt that invites you to reconsider the balance between leaning on the AI and keeping your own skills sharp.
There are also settings to help you avoid overuse. You can set quiet hours to hold back notifications, or schedule a nudge that reminds you to take a break after using Claude for a certain amount of time. In addition, you can pair the insights with the "4D AI Fluency Framework," which frames how you collaborate with AI across four points: Delegation, Description (how you convey instructions), Discernment (judging the output), and Diligence (using it responsibly). It offers examples of how you work with Claude along with practical suggestions for areas to improve.
Privacy considerations
Because the feature deals with usage data, Anthropic draws a clear line around what it collects. Reflect leaves out the contents of incognito chats that keep no history, and it does not use the underlying files pulled in from connected tools. Conversations connected to health integration tools are also excluded from the insights. On top of that, the information shown in Reflect is not used for any purpose other than this review. It is framed strictly as a tool for users to take a fresh look at their own habits.
Availability and how to use it
Reflect is available as a beta for Free, Pro, and Max users who have the memory feature enabled. It works on both the web version and the desktop app: select the "Reflect" tab inside the settings screen and run the report generation to see your recap. Because it is rolling out gradually, it may take some time before it becomes available to you.
Summary
Reflect visualizes how much and how you rely on AI, and gives you a reason to rethink the way you use it. Amid a steady stream of features aimed at squeezing out more efficiency, it is refreshing to see one that deliberately raises the questions, "Am I overusing this?" and "Am I handing off even the things I want to do myself?" If you have memory turned on, starting with a look back at the past month may reveal a few surprises about how you use Claude.
