Apple has announced a new MacBook Pro 16-inch model with a larger display. On top of the bigger screen, slimmer bezels, and a major internal upgrade, the "Esc" key is back. At the same time, the 15-inch model has quietly disappeared from Apple's site, so going forward the lineup looks like it will consist of just two models: the 13-inch and the 16-inch. For reference, the fully maxed-out configuration looks like this.

At its maximum configuration, the 16-inch MacBook Pro comes out to 651,800 yen (excluding tax, about 6,000 USD) — completely pro-grade territory. The specs amount to something like a portable workstation, so video production for YouTube and the like should be a breeze. That said, the size makes it a little awkward to carry into a cafe to get work done, so the main use case will probably be at home or at the office, with the occasional carry-out when you really need to.
