HONOR has unveiled its latest smartphone, the HONOR X9e Pro, in Malaysia. The standout feature is a massive 11,000mAh battery paired with 80W fast charging and a design engineered to retain battery health for up to six years. The display reaches a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, and the phone also gets reinforced water and shock resistance. Pricing starts at roughly 73,000 yen for the 256GB model.

Launch Details, Pricing, and Availability

The HONOR X9e Pro made its debut in Malaysia, priced at MYR 1,899 (about 73,300 yen) for the 8GB+256GB configuration and MYR 2,399 (about 92,600 yen) for the 8GB+512GB version. It comes in four colors: Royal Purple, Midnight Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown.

Preorders are open until October 8 and include gifts worth roughly MYR 1,626 (about 62,800 yen), among them an HONOR Tab X7 tablet. HONOR has confirmed that the Pro lineup will see a global rollout, with details for additional markets expected in the coming weeks. The phone is reportedly based on the HONOR X80 Pro Max, which debuted in China a few weeks earlier, adapted for international markets.

Battery and Display Take Center Stage

The headline feature is clearly the battery. At 11,000mAh, it is unusually large for a smartphone, yet it still supports 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging so it can power other devices. HONOR says the silicon-carbon anode technology used inside is designed to preserve battery performance for up to six years under its stated test conditions.

The display is a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,788 x 1,280 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 10,000 nits, aimed at keeping the screen readable even in strong outdoor sunlight, and the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Durability, Camera, and Performance

On the durability front, the X9e Pro carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and HONOR says it can survive drops from up to three meters. Under controlled conditions, it can also be submerged to depths of up to 10 meters, and it includes an underwater camera mode for use in and around water.

Power comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. HONOR's RAM Turbo feature can borrow storage space to expand available memory to the equivalent of 24GB. Storage options are 256GB and 512GB.

The rear camera system is led by a 108-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization and CIPA 6.0-rated stabilization performance, joined by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera; the setup supports 4K video recording. The front camera is 16 megapixels. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, dual Nano-SIM support, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
