ASUS JAPAN released the DUAL-RX9050-O8G, a graphics card built around AMD's entry-level Radeon RX 9050 GPU, on July 31, 2026. Despite carrying two fans, the card measures roughly 203mm long and takes up two slots. The expected retail price is around 54,980 yen including tax.

The 203mm Length Is the Real Selling Point

The first thing worth noting about this card is not a number on the spec sheet but its physical size. It measures 203 x 120.2 x 40mm and occupies two slots. At a time when cards built on higher-end GPUs routinely exceed 300mm and occupy three slots, those dimensions make it a practical option for anyone working with a mini tower or a slim case.

It fits into builds that can only spare two expansion slots, or layouts with little clearance around the power supply, and the modest weight means less concern about sag on the motherboard. Keeping the footprint manageable while still using a dual-fan cooler says a lot about what this product is aiming for.

OC Mode Pushes the Game Clock to 2270MHz

There are two clock profiles. Out of the box, default mode runs a 2260MHz game clock and a 2760MHz maximum boost clock. OC mode, the highest performance setting, is selected through the bundled GPU Tweak III utility and raises those figures to 2270MHz and 2770MHz respectively.

The Radeon RX 9050 reference figures are a 1920MHz game clock and a 2600MHz boost, so OC mode represents an increase of 350MHz and 170MHz. Because even default mode already sits above the reference clocks, buyers can run faster than stock without spending time tuning anything themselves. Graphics memory is 8GB of GDDR6.

The GPU Is RDNA 4 at the Entry Level

The underlying Radeon RX 9050 is a GPU whose product details AMD published on July 28, 2026. It uses the RDNA 4 architecture with 16 compute units, 1,024 stream processors, 16 ray accelerators and 32 AI accelerators.

Memory is 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus running at 18Gbps, which works out to roughly 288GB/s of bandwidth. Total board power is a modest 92W, and AMD positions the part for gaming at 1080p. It supports FSR upscaling, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and AV1 encoding and decoding. The suggested price for the GPU itself is 279 USD (about 44,000 yen) in the Asia-Pacific, Japanese and Latin American markets.

Cooling Is Tuned for Quiet Operation

The cooling design carries over elements ASUS has used across its own lineup. The Axial-tech fans use dual ball bearings and are rated to move up to 23 percent more air than a standard fan.

On the acoustic side, 0dB technology comes into play. When the GPU stays below 55 degrees Celsius and power draw is low, the fans stop automatically, so light workloads such as browsing are close to silent. The backplate includes vents to help the card stay stable when heat builds up. With a total board power of only 92W, the cooler is not being asked to do much heavy lifting in the first place.

Three Display Outputs

Video output consists of two DisplayPort 2.1a connectors and one HDMI 2.1b connector, for three outputs in total. That matches the configuration used by other vendors' Radeon RX 9050 cards, so there is no difference here. Supplementary power comes from a single PCI Express 8-pin connector, and the recommended power supply is 550W.

Three outputs are enough to drive a main display plus two secondary monitors without any workarounds. Support for the newer DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b standards should also pay off whenever the monitors get replaced.

Summary

The DUAL-RX9050-O8G packages the RDNA 4 generation Radeon RX 9050 into a manageable form factor of roughly 203mm and two slots. OC mode raises the game clock to 2270MHz and boost to 2770MHz, while a 92W board power limit and 0dB technology keep noise in check. At an expected retail price of around 54,980 yen including tax, it suits anyone gaming at 1080p or building in a smaller case.
