The biggest talking point of these new models is right there in the name: the "BABY-G+PLUS" series is designed to let you choose how you use it. The center case (the middle section that displays the time) detaches from the standard resin band without any tools.

Once removed, the center case slots into an included silicone holder that comes with its own strap. From there it turns into a small charm you can hang from a bag, backpack, or belt loop. Some days you wear it on your wrist, other days it becomes an accent on your bag. The holder can also be personalized with stickers and decorations, which makes it easy to give the same model your own look.

Skeleton-and-glitter Y2K styling

The design captures the mood of the late 1990s and early 2000s, a look often described as Y2K. It pairs a semi-translucent skeleton material with glitter, and even the watch face carries a fine, sparkling finish.

Casio notes that, for manufacturing reasons, the amount and distribution of glitter varies slightly from one unit to the next, so in a sense each individual watch has its own character.

It includes World Time for 30 cities across 29 time zones with a daylight saving option, a stopwatch that measures to 1/100 of a second, a timer of up to 24 hours, five daily alarms, and a white LED backlight. Dates are handled by a full auto-calendar, and battery life is about 3 years. This is not a fashion watch that only looks the part; it has enough substance to serve as an everyday timepiece.
