ECOVACS has shown its new flagship robot vacuum, the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone, at IFA 2026 in Berlin. Two ideas sit at its centre: a docking station that never needs a disposable dust bag, and AGENT YIKO 3.0, an AI agent that reads the state of a home and builds a week's cleaning plan on its own. The UK recommended price is 1,199 GBP (about 250,000 yen), with sales starting 9 September.
A Station That Does Away With Dust Bags
The OmniCyclone half of the name refers to the dock. Machines in this class have generally emptied their bins into disposable paper bags. The PureCyclone 2.0 system in the X12S separates and compacts debris by centrifugal force into a reusable container instead, so no bag is required at all. ECOVACS says this removes the need for up to 25 dust bags over five years.
The dock also handles the wet side of maintenance. Water at up to 100 degrees Celsius is pushed through 32 nozzles directly onto the mop roller, and a dual-layer scraper strips off waste water and residue. Automatic cleaning and heating of the dirty water tank, high-pressure rinsing of the washing tray, and automatic drying of the air path are all designed to reduce the moments when a person has to step in.
A 27 cm Roller and Stains That Are Dissolved Before They Are Wiped
Mopping is handled by OZMO ROLLER 3.0. The roller is roughly 27 cm long, 50 percent longer than the previous generation. It presses down with 4,000 Pa while spinning at 220 rpm, and pressurised water from 32 directions keeps washing the roller during use, which makes it less likely to spread dirt elsewhere. Together with the microfibre construction, residual water left on the floor is reduced by about 67 percent compared with an ordinary fibre roller.
Dried-on marks get a different treatment. FocusJet sprays water and cleaning solution in a cross pattern over stubborn stains such as soy sauce or coffee, leaves them to soak for 15 to 30 seconds, then lets the roller lift what has loosened. Heavily soiled areas like a kitchen can be triggered by voice, and a zone marked by muddy pet paw prints can be designated in the app.
On carpet the roller lifts by about 1.5 cm and a new cover drops to block contact with the fibres. On the suction side, a new 53 air watt motor using BLAST technology delivers more than 60 percent stronger suction than the previous generation. Combined with a chamber that presses down into the pile and brush strips that are 130 percent thicker, ECOVACS quotes a dust mite removal rate of up to 95.45 percent.
AGENT YIKO 3.0 Plans the Week on Its Own
The headline feature is AGENT YIKO 3.0, which takes over the planning rather than only the cleaning. Using large language models, it reads the layout of the home, daily habits and stated preferences. In Agent Mode it designs how the cleaning should proceed. In AI Scheduled Cleaning Mode it creates and runs a weekly plan without being asked, reshaping it as the environment and routines change.
Stating a preference is now a matter of speaking up whenever it occurs to you. The robot interprets what it hears and decides whether it should be stored as a long-term preference or treated as a one-off instruction. It also walks users through initial setup and minor troubleshooting step by step.
Mobility and perception were updated as well. Drive wheels about 7.6 cm across clear single obstacles of roughly 2.5 cm, and up to about 4 cm across two consecutive ones. The body is about 9.8 cm tall, low enough to work under furniture. Obstacle handling falls to AIVI 3D 4.0, which moves closer to clearly defined objects such as chair legs and scales to clean right up to the edge, while keeping its distance from risky ones such as pets and loose wires. Edge work is handled by TruEdge 3.0, whose air-cushioned roller extends about 2.6 cm to reach behind skirting boards.
Pricing and Availability
In the UK the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone arrives on 9 September at 1,199 GBP (about 250,000 yen). The same day brings the DEEBOT T90 MAX PRO OMNI, with 40,000 Pa suction and a slim 95 mm body, at 549 GBP (about 120,000 yen), and the WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI window-cleaning robot at 529 GBP (about 110,000 yen). The DEEBOT T90S PRO OMNI, with a 27 cm self-cleaning roller, follows on 24 September at 699 GBP (about 150,000 yen). All are sold through Amazon and retailers including Argos, Currys and Very. In the United States, the ECOVACS online store lists the X12S at 999.99 USD (about 155,000 yen).
※Exchange rates as of 4 September 2026: 1 GBP = 211 JPY, 1 USD = 155 JPY
ECOVACS also previewed products aimed at 2027 at the show: the GOAT T-Series robotic lawnmower and the ULTRAMARINE L1 PRO pool-cleaning robot, pointing to an expansion from floors to windows, gardens and pools. The show runs until 8 September, with the stand in Hall 9, Booth 113. The company's products are in use in about 180 markets and 38 million households, and Forbes Asia has named it the leading global brand in home robotics. Availability in Japan has not been announced as of this writing.
Summary
The DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone is built around two subtractions: the consumable dust bag is designed out of the dock, and the job of planning the cleaning is handed to an AI. The numbers have grown too, from the 27 cm roller to the 53 air watt suction, but what is likely to matter day to day is not having to restock bags or decide which rooms to clean today. With the UK and the US going first, Japan will have to wait.
