With Christmas just around the corner, why not hunt for some good deals?

My Personal Picks

I've put together a selection focused on PC peripherals, smartphones, and game consoles.

Kindle Fire HD 10

[amazon_link asins='B01J6RPOJY' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='653f0409-fa01-11e8-a70b-63a463ade486']

This is an Android tablet released by Amazon themselves. It gets ridiculously cheap during sales.

It doesn't support the Google Play Store, but you can enjoy Amazon Video and games on it.

It's a 10.1-inch tablet that's under 10,000 yen (at the time of writing), so it might be just right for casual video watching or e-book reading.

Apple iPad Pro

[amazon_link asins='B073QLT8XG' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='1f92abe9-fa00-11e8-bb0b-bb48f75f5df1']

This is an older model, but going for a discounted iPad sounds like a solid move.

It's equipped with the A10X chip and Touch ID. How about it as a secondary device?

ASUS ZenFone4 Selfie Pro

[amazon_link asins='B075LJDXWD' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='fddc5037-fa03-11e8-87ed-af8582d25e63']

An Android smartphone with an 8-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a dual front camera.

It can apparently shoot 120-degree wide-angle selfies, so it's a great pick for people who use their front camera a lot for selfies.

For a smartphone of this caliber to be in the 20,000-yen range (at the time of writing) feels cheap to me. I genuinely want one...

Mobile Batteries

[amazon_link asins='B019GNUT0C' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='471a4aed-f9f1-11e8-9116-d5ac8c45649e']

This is a 10,000mAh high-capacity mobile battery from Anker. It outputs at 2.4A and can charge an iPhone XS about 2.6 times. Supports fast charging.

The body is described as the smallest and lightest in its class, so it's a great choice for those who want something compact but don't want to compromise on capacity.

[amazon_link asins='B07BFBKPLK' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='bda425f4-fa02-11e8-a533-1bb599d086e3']

This one is also from Anker, but it's the 20,100mAh ultra-large-capacity model. It can fully charge an iPhone XS about 5.3 times and a Nintendo Switch about 2.5 times. Although it's marketed for Switch use, it works with smartphones, MacBooks, and more.

Since the capacity is so massive, you can probably leave it in your bag for several days after one charge. Recommended for people who want to game on the go.

Personally, since I tend to leave my battery in my bag all the time, this one might suit me better... (charging is a hassle).

Tablet PC

[amazon_link asins='B079VVPN46' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='2b30fcdf-f9f3-11e8-afb7-3f106b259d5a']

This is a Microsoft Surface Pro. Just to be clear, it's not the latest Surface Pro 6.

It's the model with a 7th-generation Intel Core processor. The performance is more than sufficient, so it could be a good choice for writing blog posts at a cafe and the like.

The price is down, so I'd love to grab one...

PS4 Pro

(Sold out)

[amazon_link asins='B07KFNZTCP' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='ab9d9328-f9f3-11e8-b4b5-71db8c587c68']

I want to play VR on a Pro (seriously).

According to the product page description, two download games of your choice come bundled. If I bought it, I'd personally want "Detroit: Become Human" and "The Last Guardian."

NETGEAR WiFi

(The price has gone up to the 30,000-yen range, so it might not feel like much of a deal anymore.)

[amazon_link asins='B01EWCIRAG' template='Default' store='pianix3870-22' marketplace='JP' link_id='1585548e-fa05-11e8-b074-bb933932f022']

This is a high-end Wi-Fi router originally priced around 70,000 yen (at the time of writing) that can even handle gaming houses.

Right now you can grab it for not much more than a typical consumer router, so if you use multiple smartphones simultaneously and want to seriously upgrade your home Wi-Fi, definitely check it out. (Just remember that internet speed depends on your line!)
