SwitchBot, a maker of smart home devices, rolled out a string of new products between late June and early July 2026. Four of them are aimed at the Japanese market — a robot vacuum, a circulator and more — and most focus on practical upgrades that shore up the weak points of their predecessors. From a compact robot vacuum with double the suction to a battery-equipped circulator, the lineup centers on gear that automates everyday chores and the home.

Two "Pro" Upgrades Take Center Stage

The centerpiece of the lineup is a pair of products that each move a popular series up to a "Pro" tier.

The compact "SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+ Pro" was officially announced on July 1, 2026. It keeps the world's-smallest-class body measuring 24.8cm in diameter, while doubling suction from the previous K11+ model's 6,000Pa to 12,000Pa. The aim is to preserve the easy handling of a small chassis while addressing the weak suction that tends to hold compact models back. Operating noise in silent mode is held to about 45dB, which SwitchBot says makes it easy to use during remote work or at night. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Siri and IFTTT. The body is priced at 59,800 yen including tax, in ivory and black. For now only ivory is listed, shipping in sequence from August 3, 2026. No release timing has been given for black.

The other lead product is the battery-powered "SwitchBot Smart Circulator 2 Pro." On top of airflow that covers up to 30 tatami mats, it adds a new "3-in-1 air care" function that combines an ionizer, a filter and aroma. Other highlights include a "Turbo" mode that temporarily raises airflow to up to 13.51 cubic meters per minute, and app control from the unit itself without a separate hub. Quietness improves slightly from the previous 22dB to 21dB, and on battery it runs continuously for up to about 70 hours. The front and rear guards, the blades and the filter can all be removed and washed, improving ease of maintenance. It also supports "Matter over Wi-Fi," connecting to major platforms such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple Home without a hub. It costs 16,980 yen including tax, with ivory due in early July 2026 and matte black from late August 2026 onward.

The "Relay Switch 1" for Remote Current Control

The "SwitchBot Relay Switch 1" is a smart relay switch that supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Matter. It had already launched overseas in December 2024, but in Japan it was officially announced and released on July 1, 2026. It is priced at 5,480 yen including tax.

A relay switch is installed between a control panel such as a breaker and an outlet or electrical switch, letting you turn the upstream current on and off or adjust its flow. This product can be controlled remotely from a dedicated app for Android and iOS. Note, however, that installation requires an electrician's license; installation by an unlicensed person violates Japan's Electrician's Act. On the other hand, work that legally counts as "minor" — such as circuits of 36V or less — can be handled without a license, leaving room to use it in, for example, a 12V camper.

The "Exterior Light" to Illuminate the Outdoors

The "SwitchBot Exterior Light," announced on June 30, 2026, is an outdoor rope light. It is 15m long and can be shortened as needed. Part of the existing "RGBIC Strip Light" series, it supports "RGBIC," which lights multiple colors at once along a single strip, and it can switch between 16 million color gradients and two shades of white (cool and warm). Built to withstand harsh conditions including rain, snow, direct sunlight and temperatures from minus 20 to 60 degrees Celsius, it has a lifespan of about 25,000 hours. SwitchBot envisions decorative use for occasions such as Halloween and Christmas. It is priced at 16,980 yen including tax.

A New Ceiling Light in the U.S.

Separately, in the U.S., the "SwitchBot RGBICWW Ceiling Light" was announced on June 29, 2026, local time. It comes in 12-inch and 15-inch sizes, priced at 49.99 USD (about 8,000 yen) for the 12-inch and 79.99 USD (about 13,000 yen) for the 15-inch. In addition to simultaneous multicolor lighting via RGBIC, it supports Matter over Wi-Fi, connecting to Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple Home without a hub. No plans for a Japanese release have been announced so far.

Summary

Anchored by the K11+ Pro robot vacuum with double the suction and the battery-powered Smart Circulator 2 Pro, SwitchBot has brought a broad range of new products to Japan, from a relay switch to an outdoor light. Rather than flashy new concepts, the lineup stands out for solid refinements that shore up the weak points of existing models. For anyone looking to expand their smart home from here, it is an announcement that widens the options.
