ASUS has released the ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 gaming keyboard and the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 gaming mouse on July 3 as limited-edition models celebrating the 20th anniversary of its ROG gaming brand. The keyboard is priced at 109,800 yen and the mouse at 49,800 yen, and both are sold in limited quantities. Their black-and-gold color scheme, accented with 24K gold plating, is the immediate draw.

A Commemorative Black-and-Gold Design

Both products share the black-and-gold color scheme that symbolizes 20 years of ROG. The keyboard uses semi-transparent black keycaps and places a 24K gold-plated nameplate on its underside. The mouse uses metal parts for its scroll wheel and side buttons and applies 24K plating to its inner frame, showing attention even to areas that are hard to see from the outside. As a limited collector's edition, the finish is clearly meant to heighten the sense of ownership.

ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 Keyboard

The Azoth Extreme Edition 20 is a customizable 75% layout keyboard that omits the numeric keypad. It uses ASUS's own ROG NX Edition 20 mechanical switches, which are factory-lubricated to deliver a smooth, consistent typing feel. The switches are hot-swappable, so users can replace them with their preferred type.

The internal construction is elaborate, combining a carbon-fiber positioning plate, PORON dampening foam, and an adjustable gasket mount. The gasket mount lets you switch the typing feel between hard and soft modes, so you can favor quick key rebound during gaming or comfort during long typing sessions. The case is made of aluminum alloy for high rigidity.

For controls, it features a 1.47-inch full-color OLED touchscreen and a three-way control knob, letting you adjust settings intuitively while viewing the connection status, remaining battery, CPU temperature, and more. It also includes a Speed Tap (SOCD) function that prioritizes the most recent input when opposing direction keys are pressed, supporting quick direction changes in FPS titles.

It supports three connection modes: wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. The 2.4GHz mode uses ASUS's low-latency ROG SpeedNova technology, with a polling rate of 1,000Hz normally and up to 8,000Hz when combined with the ROG Polling Rate Booster. The polling rate refers to how often the keyboard reports input to the PC; higher values reduce input delay. In 2.4GHz mode, ASUS claims up to 1,600 hours of battery life. The keyboard measures 330 x 140 x 39 mm and weighs 1,500 g.

ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 Mouse

The Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 is equipped with ASUS's own ROG AimPoint Pro 65K optical sensor, supporting a resolution of up to 65,000 DPI. With a tracking speed of 800 IPS and maximum acceleration of 70G, it is built to keep the cursor stable even during fast mouse movements. The main buttons use durable ROG optical micro switches rated for 100 million clicks.

Like the keyboard, it supports three connection modes, and in wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes you can select a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz. The mouse measures 63.9 x 39.7 x 126.1 mm and keeps its weight down to 82 g.

Summary

The ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 and ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 pack high-end features such as 24K gold plating, an OLED touchscreen, and a sensor of up to 65,000 DPI into limited-edition models finished in 20th-anniversary black and gold. At 109,800 yen and 49,800 yen respectively, they are not cheap, but in both performance and design they mark a milestone for ROG. Because quantities are limited, anyone interested will likely need to act early.
