OnePlus has announced a new large-screen tablet, the OnePlus Pad 4, in India. It pairs a 13.2-inch display with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a chip usually reserved for flagship smartphones, and packs an enormous 13,380mAh battery. At the same time, the base model's memory has been trimmed compared with the previous generation, making this a device that rebalances performance against price.

A 13.2-inch, 3.4K Display

The headline feature is the 13.2-inch display, which is large even by tablet standards. It has a resolution of 3392 by 2400 (about 315ppi), delivering 3.4K-class sharpness. The 144Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling and gameplay smooth, while peak brightness reaches up to 1000 nits in High Brightness Mode. With Dolby Vision support as well, video content looks vivid both indoors and out.

The body uses an aluminum unibody design, measuring 5.94mm thick and weighing 672g. The fact that OnePlus fit in a 13,380mAh battery while making it slightly thinner than the previous OnePlus Pad 3 (5.97mm) is worth noting. Two colors are offered: Dune Glow and Sage Mist.

Flagship-class Performance, but a Smaller Base Memory

At its core sits Qualcomm's latest SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. As a chip found in high-end smartphones, it should provide plenty of processing headroom on a tablet. Memory is LPDDR5X at 8GB or 12GB, storage is UFS 4.1 at 256GB or 512GB, and the software is OxygenOS 16.0 based on Android 16.

What stands out is the base model's memory configuration. The previous generation started at 12GB, but this time the base has been lowered to 8GB, and the higher 16GB option has disappeared entirely. 80W Charging, Eight Speakers, and Dedicated Accessories

The 13,380mAh battery is 1,240mAh larger than the previous Pad 3 (12,140mAh). It supports 80W wired fast charging, so you can top up quickly even while using it.

Audio gets attention too, with eight speakers and Hi-Res certification. Connectivity covers the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard. The cameras are a 13MP rear and an 8MP front shooter. Paired with the optional "OnePlus Stylo Pro" stylus or the pin-connected "OnePlus Pad 4 Smart Keyboard," it can also serve as a work device for notes, illustration, and document editing.

Priced from About 102,000 Yen in India

In India, the standard pricing is 59,999 rupees (about 102,000 yen) for the 8GB + 256GB model and 64,999 rupees (about 110,000 yen) for the 12GB + 512GB model. India leads the rollout, with sales having begun on May 5, 2026. Availability in Japan has not been disclosed at this time.
