Nothing has officially confirmed that it will unveil its new smartphone, the Phone (4b), in India on July 7. The reveal is set for 3:30 PM IST, with sales starting the same day through Flipkart. What stands out is that this is the first device in Nothing's new "B Series," positioned as an even more affordable entry-level tier below the existing "A Series." Most of the pricing and specifications remain under wraps, but the teasers already confirm the brand's familiar transparent design.
The B Series sits below the A Series as a new entry-level line
The most significant part of this teaser is not simply the addition of another model, but the expansion of the lineup structure itself. Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and President of Nothing India, has explained that the new "B Series" will serve as the new starting point and most affordable line for Nothing smartphones.
The naming convention has also been clarified. Numbers indicate the generation, while letters denote the product tier, so "4b" refers to the entry-level class of the fourth generation. By placing the more budget-focused B Series beneath the existing A Series, Nothing aims to reach first-time smartphone buyers and those who want a distinctive design without stretching their budget. It is a move to deepen its presence in India's mass-market price segment.
Nothing's early teaser makes it clear that the company is not abandoning its brand identity even on a lower-cost model. The back features the transparent panel that has become the company's signature, with screws and internal parts deliberately left visible. It combines a flat frame with rounded corners for a simple, easily recognizable style.
The rear camera section is arranged in a vertical pill shape and includes an LED flash. The back also shows a horizontal Glyph-style light bar. Glyph is Nothing's distinctive feature that uses rear lighting to signal incoming calls, notifications, and charging status, and the company appears to have kept this experience even on the budget B Series. Overall, the device looks set to carry over many of the traits seen on the Phone (4a).
Specifications and pricing are still at the leak stage
Nothing has not disclosed the internal details. For now, only fragmentary information from benchmark sites and leaks is circulating. A Geekbench listing reportedly points to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 paired with 8GB of memory and Android 16. Other leaks, however, suggest a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, so the chipset is not confirmed. None of this has been officially verified.
There is also no official word on pricing. Overseas media estimates suggest the phone could undercut the Phone (4a) by roughly 3,000 to 5,000 rupees, landing somewhere around 27,000 to 29,000 rupees (about 46,000 to 49,000 yen). If accurate, that would make it Nothing's most affordable smartphone to date. Still, these are only estimates, and the confirmed figures will have to wait until the July 7 announcement.
