iQOO Z11S Launches with a 10,000mAh Single-Cell Battery in an 8.59mm, 225g Body, Starting at 1,799 Yuan

iQOO announced the Z11S in China on the evening of August 18. The headline feature is a 10,000mAh battery built as a single cell rather than split into two, packed into a body that measures 8.59mm thick and weighs 225g. The phone runs on the full-spec version of the Dimensity 7500, carries a 6.83-inch 144Hz display, and opens at 1,799 yuan during the launch promotion.

How iQOO Fit 10,000mAh into One Cell

Recent large-battery phones often split the pack into two cells. The Z11S keeps a single-cell design and pushes it to 10,000mAh. The published figures are a typical capacity of 10,000mAh (3.73V) and typical energy of 37.30Wh, with rated values of 9,800mAh and 36.56Wh.

The battery was co-developed with Amperex Technology Limited (ATL), and volumetric energy density is quoted at 859Wh/L. On the packaging side, iQOO combines what it calls Cube Packaging 2.0 with a stacked Nuclear Boat architecture to claw back internal volume within a limited thickness.

The materials are a fourth-generation silicon anode and a second-generation semi-solid electrolyte. Silicon anodes store more lithium in the same volume, which allows capacity to grow without a matching increase in size. iQOO says it pairs a new spherical silicon material with a double-layer coating process to improve longevity as well.

Runtime and Charging

Figures from vivo's lab put continuous video calling at 14.6 hours at minus 20 degrees Celsius. Theoretical numbers reach up to 43.7 days of 4G single-SIM standby and up to 34.5 hours of 4G VoLTE talk time. iQOO also cites a mixed-use scenario modeled on campus life, where 16 hours of continuous use left 57 percent of the charge remaining.

Charging is the conservative part. The maximum supported charger output is 44W, well short of the 100W-class charging found on iQOO's higher-end models. The phone does support Global Direct Power Supply 2.0, which feeds the system directly instead of routing through the battery, so heat during gaming is easier to control. Reverse charging over OTG is available.

Power management on the software side was updated too, with System Lightweighting 3.0 and Micro Power Elf 2.0. The latter switches automatically into a low-drain mode when the battery is nearly empty, keeping a game alive in the background while still allowing calls and checking ride-hailing details.

Display and Performance Hold Up for a Battery-First Phone

The front panel is a 6.83-inch AMOLED at 2,800 by 1,260, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 94.47 percent screen-to-body ratio. Refresh rate tops out at 144Hz and full-screen peak brightness reaches 2,000 nits. Enabling Professional Mode raises manual peak brightness to 1,000 nits, against 800 nits in the default mode. The panel covers 1.07 billion colors and the P3 gamut.

By default, dimming uses 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM blended with DC dimming at higher brightness levels. A developer setting switches the panel to DC-like dimming across the full brightness range. The display also carries SGS low blue light and low flicker certifications.

The processor is the full-spec Dimensity 7500, an eight-core part with four cores at 2.6GHz and four at 2.0GHz, built on 4nm with a Mali G625 GPU. It uses ARM's new C1-series cores, and iQOO claims gains of 24 percent in single-core and 21 percent in multi-core performance over the Dimensity 7400. An AnTuTu V11 score of 1,309,171 was published for the 12GB plus 512GB configuration. Memory fusion adds up to 12GB of effective RAM on the 12GB models.

There are compromises. Memory is LPDDR4X, storage is UFS 3.1, and the Type-C port runs at USB 2.0 speeds. These are cost-driven choices, and anyone who moves large files over cable frequently should factor them in.

Design and Core Features

The design introduces a new floating porthole treatment, wrapping an angular camera area in an all-metal module. The back panel uses high-precision nanoscale lithography to create a fine structure that shifts in appearance with viewing angle. Three colors are offered: Wanli Floating Light, Ink Rock Black, and Snow Island White.

The camera setup is a single 50-megapixel rear unit at f/1.8 and an 8-megapixel front camera at f/2.05. The rear camera records 4K video and includes the same three film simulations as iQOO's higher-end models: clear blue tone, positive film, and negative film. There is no telephoto or ultra-wide, so framing flexibility is limited.

For durability, the phone carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water ratings and passed environmental testing based on seven military standard procedures. IP69 covers high-temperature, high-pressure jets, which leaves more margin around water. A function that clears water and dust using acoustic vibration is included as well.

Other features include OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, full-function NFC, an infrared remote, an X-axis linear motor, and stereo speakers. For this price bracket, the feature list has few obvious gaps.

Pricing Starts at 1,799 Yuan, Down to 1,529.15 Yuan with State Subsidy

The model number is V2603A and availability begins in August 2026. The same event also introduced the performance-focused iQOO Neo11 Supreme Edition and the iQOO TWS 5e wireless earbuds. The earbuds retail at 149 yuan (about 3,500 yen), dropping to 129 yuan (about 3,100 yen) with a promotion running through September 17.

For now the Z11S is a China-market announcement, and no plans have been disclosed for markets outside China, including Japan.
