Ahead of IFA 2026 in Berlin, ASUS announced on September 2 a new set of creator PCs built around NVIDIA's RTX Spark superchip: the ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 laptops and the palm-sized ProArt GR1X mini PC. With up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of AI performance, the lineup is designed to run large AI models and agents directly on the machine rather than in the cloud. The ProArt P16 measures 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.77kg, which ASUS says makes it the thinnest 16-inch ProArt ever.
A Windows PC Built to Run AI Agents Locally
RTX Spark is the PC superchip NVIDIA introduced at COMPUTEX at the end of May 2026. It pairs a Blackwell-generation RTX GPU with 6,144 cores and a Grace CPU with up to 20 cores over NVLink-C2C, and adds fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision. ASUS positions its RTX Spark-based ProArt machines as the world's first Windows PCs built for personal agents.
ASUS points to three advantages. The first is cost: unlike pay-per-use cloud services, a local PC lets you run and rerun AI agents without token limits. The second is privacy: prompts, files, and creative assets never leave the device, and local models keep working offline. The third is customization: you can match models to specific tasks, adjust their behavior through prompts or fine-tuning, and assemble your own set of trusted skills and tools.
On the performance side, ASUS says the combination of up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and up to 128GB of high-bandwidth unified memory allows 120-billion-parameter LLMs, 3D scenes exceeding 90GB, and 4K AI video generation to run locally. Sharing memory between the CPU and GPU is how the platform gets past the memory-capacity ceiling that has constrained conventional PCs.
ProArt P16 and P14: The Thinnest and Lightest ProArt Laptops Yet
The two laptops lean on RTX Spark's highly integrated design to push thinness and weight. The 16-inch ProArt P16 is 12.9mm thick and weighs 1.77kg, 14 percent thinner and 9 percent lighter than the previous generation. According to ASUS, it is the thinnest 16-inch RTX Spark laptop and the thinnest 16-inch ProArt to date. The 14-inch ProArt P14 is 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.48kg, making it the lightest ProArt laptop ever. Batteries are generous at 99Wh for the P16 and 90Wh for the P14, with extended creative sessions away from an outlet in mind.
Both use ASUS Lumina Pro OLED displays with color accuracy of Delta E below 1. The P16 supports up to 4K at 120Hz with variable refresh rate and NVIDIA G-SYNC, while the P14 goes up to 3K resolution. Peak brightness reaches 1,600 nits, and both panels carry an anti-reflection coating.
The CNC-machined chassis comes in Nano Black and Neo White. A full selection of ports is included so users can avoid dongles, and the haptic touchpad delivers tactile feedback despite the thin profile.
ProArt GR1X: A 150mm-Square Mini PC Designed for 24/7 Operation
The ProArt GR1X packs RTX Spark performance into a 150 x 150 x 51mm enclosure. ASUS pitches it as an always-on AI agent machine and has engineered the cooling for continuous 24/7 operation. The dual-fan system uses a total of 218 blades, covers up to 1.6 times more area than before, and offers seven levels of fan control to balance performance and quiet operation.
It comes in Black and a new Silver finish. Connectivity includes 10GbE wired networking, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, and it can drive up to four 4K displays. The idea is a single desk-corner box that handles 3D rendering, content creation, and local AI development.
MuseTree, StoryCube, and ComfyUI Integration for Agentic Creative Workflows
Beyond hardware, ASUS is pairing its own apps with outside tools to shape a creative environment. The preloaded MuseTree integrates the local image-generation models FLUX and WAN for token-free image creation. StoryCube uses AI scene recognition to organize media and manage assets.
On the cloud side, an Adobe Creative Cloud bundle is included, and eligible laptops also get a bundle of Google AI services. At IFA, ASUS is demonstrating how AI agents can move across generation, editing, and asset management through ComfyUI, the open-source generative AI workflow platform, and through interaction between the ASUS-exclusive agent Zenni Claw and MuseTree. Rather than treating tools as isolated apps, ASUS wants agents that connect the steps to become the ProArt standard.
Hands-On at a Dedicated Showroom in Berlin
Before IFA officially opens, ASUS is running an invitation-only ASUS IFA Media Showroom at the ABION Spreebogen Waterside Hotel in Berlin from September 2 to 5. It is the company's first global media showcase centered on AI agents and real-world AI workflows, organized into seven interactive zones plus a keynote session.
Alongside the three ProArt machines, the showroom features a DIY build based on the ProArt Z890-CREATOR WIFI motherboard and ProArt GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC Edition graphics card, the 31.5-inch 6K (6016 x 3384) ProArt Display PA32QCV, the Zenbook 14 with a choice of Snapdragon X, Intel Core Ultra Series 3, or AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors, and the business-oriented ExpertBook Ultra starting at 0.99kg.
Pricing and release dates for the ProArt P16/P14 and GR1X were not disclosed in this announcement. In its June 1 announcement timed with COMPUTEX, ASUS said availability would begin in fall 2026 in select regions, so details for Japan will have to wait for a follow-up.
Summary
The new ASUS ProArt P16/P14 and ProArt GR1X are creator PCs built around NVIDIA RTX Spark, using up to 128GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI performance to run AI agents locally. The P16 at 12.9mm and 1.77kg is the thinnest 16-inch ProArt, the P14 at 1.48kg is the lightest ProArt ever, and the GR1X is a 150mm-square box designed for around-the-clock operation. Their shapes differ, but the direction is the same. Pricing and availability remain unannounced, and the hardware is on display at IFA 2026.
