Astra has been available in voice mode for a few weeks, while the mid-tier Sol and the lightweight Luna were only upgraded to the GPT-6 generation the day before this announcement, on September 22.

Voice usage time is also capped differently by plan, with each limit measured over a rolling 24-hour period. Free-tier users get limited access to the lightweight GPT-Live-1 mini. The paid Go plan allows up to 3 hours with the mini model, while the Plus plan allows up to 3 hours with the full GPT-Live-1.
