OPPO has launched the K14 Lite in India, a new smartphone built around long battery life. Its headline features are a 7,000mAh battery and a 120Hz display, packed into a price of roughly 28,000 yen. Rather than chasing 5G speed, the phone leans into everyday toughness and screen visibility.
A large battery paired with a display built for visibility
At the core of the K14 Lite is its 7,000mAh battery. Wired charging tops out at 15W, and the phone also supports wired reverse charging, letting it double as a power bank for other devices. OPPO says the battery retains more than 80% of its original capacity even after 1,800 charge cycles, pointing to a design meant for long-term use.
The display is a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel running at a 120Hz refresh rate, with peak brightness rated at 900 nits for better outdoor visibility. It also includes touch modes that respond to wet fingers or gloved hands, making it usable across a range of weather and work conditions. The phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
A Unisoc chipset and AI-powered editing tools
Processing duties fall to Unisoc's "T7250" octa-core chipset, clocked at up to 1.8GHz. To manage heat, OPPO built in a graphite cooling layer spanning 13,700 square millimeters. Memory comes in a single configuration of 4GB LPDDR4X RAM paired with 64GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The camera system pairs a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera. Beyond Portrait, Night, and Time-Lapse modes, the phone includes an "AI Eraser" for removing unwanted objects from photos and a feature that smooths faces naturally. It also comes with Google Lens, a privacy feature that protects data even while the screen is locked, and access to Google Gemini — a fairly generous software package for this price segment. The phone is available in two colors: Stone Brown and Feather Purple.
Where it fits within the K series
OPPO has been building out a battery-focused mid-range lineup in India under its "K series" branding. In March 2026, the company launched the 5G-enabled K14, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, at a starting price of 17,999 rupees — somewhat higher than the K14 Lite*1 rupee ≈ 1.63 yen (as of September 20, 2026).
The K14 Lite trims away 5G support and fast charging in exchange for a bigger battery and a lower price. It's aimed at buyers who prioritize battery endurance and screen visibility over network speed, effectively broadening the entry point into OPPO's K series.
Pricing and availability
The K14 Lite ships in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, priced at 16,999 rupees (about 28,000 yen). With select bank card offers, buyers can get a 1,000-rupee discount, bringing the effective price down to 15,999 rupees (about 26,000 yen). It went on sale through OPPO's official online store and Flipkart starting September 16. As of now, OPPO has not announced plans to bring the K14 Lite to markets outside India.
