SAMSUNG is bringing a new mid-range handset, the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G, to India on August 3. The official product page is already live, and it spells out the key hardware: a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, a 6,000mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization. Pricing starts at 25,999 rupees (about 44,000 yen) for the 6GB/128GB model.

Sold through Flipkart and SAMSUNG's own store

The Galaxy F70 Pro will be sold through Flipkart, the Indian online marketplace, and through SAMSUNG India's official online store. Two colors are offered: Aura Green and Alpha Black.

The Galaxy F line has always been built around online sales in India, and the F70 Pro follows that pattern. Ahead of launch, the official product page carried only a Notify me button to collect sign-ups.

A 50MP OIS main camera, and HDR on the front

The rear setup is a triple camera: a 50MP wide lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. Video tops out at 4K, and SAMSUNG is leaning on a feature it calls No Shake Cam to keep footage steady.

The front camera supports HDR. Citing commissioned research covering handsets launched in India between January and early July in the 20,000 to 30,000 rupee bracket, SAMSUNG claims the F70 Pro is the only phone in that range with an HDR selfie camera, and the only one with a triple camera that includes OIS. Those are claims from a study the company itself ordered, so they are worth treating with some caution, but the camera focus of this configuration is clear enough for the price.

On the editing side, the phone offers Object Eraser for removing subjects, My Filter for building custom color profiles, and AI-assisted edits. Thirteen shooting modes are included.

A 6,000mAh battery and a 120Hz Super AMOLED panel

The battery is rated at 6,000mAh with 45W fast charging. That 6,000mAh figure is a typical value averaged across tested samples; the guaranteed minimum is listed as 5,830mAh. The 45W charger is sold separately.

The display is an FHD+ Super AMOLED panel running at 120Hz, covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and rated to survive a 2.0-meter drop. SAMSUNG is also playing up the slim body and narrow bezels.

Inside is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

One UI 8.5, with six generations of OS updates

The phone ships with One UI 8.5. Alongside Circle to Search and Google Gemini, it supports Direct voicemail for reading voicemail on the spot and AI voice transcription for turning calls into text.

The update commitment is generous for this price bracket: six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The clock starts from the first global launch date rather than the purchase date, but for buyers who plan to hold onto a mid-range phone, that still matters.

Prices start at about 44,000 yen

Three configurations are on offer. The 6GB/128GB model costs 25,999 rupees (about 44,000 yen), the 8GB/128GB model 29,999 rupees (about 50,000 yen), and the 8GB/256GB model 34,999 rupees (about 59,000 yen).

There is no word on a Japanese release. The Galaxy F line is close to India-exclusive, so the same model number is unlikely to show up domestically. Even so, a package that bundles a 50MP OIS camera, a 6,000mAh battery, and six years of updates at this price is a useful reference point for anyone watching the mid-range market in Japan.

Prices start at 25,999 rupees (about 44,000 yen), and the six generations of OS upgrades plus six years of security updates stand out at that figure.
