vivo has opened pre-orders in China for the vivo X300 E, the fifth model in the X300 series. The official pre-order page highlights two things: a 7,200mAh battery and a super telephoto camera co-engineered with ZEISS. vivo has not named the chipset, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 remains a leak rather than an official specification. Early sales begin at 9:00 on July 27, and pricing is expected to be revealed at that point.

The pre-order offer works by paying 1 yuan to lock in a benefit pack worth 288 yuan (about 6,800 yen). It consists of a one-year extended warranty worth 129 yuan (about 3,100 yen) and a three-year battery warranty worth 159 yuan (about 3,800 yen). A limited quantity of power banks worth 299 yuan (about 7,100 yen) is also included, alongside trade-in subsidies of up to 1,200 yuan (about 28,000 yen) and interest-free installments over as many as 24 months. Reinforcing the battery warranty on a phone that sells itself on battery capacity says a lot about vivo's intent.
The official pitch rests on battery and telephoto; the SoC is still a leak
What vivo states officially is the 7,200mAh battery and the ZEISS co-engineered super telephoto camera. The phone comes in black, white and orange, with a square camera module on the back. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 claim comes from the leaker @数码闲聊站 and does not appear in vivo's own announcement.
That 7,200mAh figure is the largest in the X300 series. The standard X300 carries 6,040mAh, the X300 Pro 6,510mAh, the X300 Ultra 6,600mAh and the X300s 7,100mAh, so the X300 E sits above all of them. That said, the entire series is already above 6,000mAh, so this reads as a steady increase rather than a leap.
If the leak holds, the SoC choice is unique within the lineup. The X300, X300s and X300 Pro use the Dimensity 9500 and the X300 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which would leave the X300 E as the only model on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Qualcomm announced that chip on November 26, 2025, positioning it one step below the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It keeps the custom Oryon cores but runs at lower peak clocks, trading peak performance for better power efficiency. Paired with 7,200mAh, real-world runtime should be the longest in the series.
Certification data points to a 7.99mm, roughly 203g body
Certification filings for model V2612A, believed to be the X300 E, reveal the physical details. The body measures 157.52 x 74.33 x 7.99mm and weighs about 203g. The display is a 6.59-inch AMOLED at 2750 x 1260, with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage from 128GB up to 1TB.
For comparison, the X300 Pro measures 161.98 x 75.48 x 7.99mm and weighs 226g, so the X300 E fits 690mAh more battery into a smaller, lighter chassis. The same filing lists battery capacity as 7,015mAh, but manufacturers typically quote typical capacity while certification bodies quote rated capacity, so the gap comes down to how each figure is measured.
Camera details and the parts that remain unconfirmed
Leaks point to a rear setup of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto and an 8MP ultra-wide, with a 50MP front camera. If accurate, only the ultra-wide steps down compared with the X300, X300 Pro and X300 Ultra, all of which carry 50MP ultra-wide cameras. In other words, the telephoto and the battery survive while the ultra-wide absorbs the cost cutting.
90W wired charging comes from the same leaker as the camera details. A metal frame and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor sit on even thinner ground, reported by Chinese media only as what the phone is expected to use. Whether the phone supports wireless charging is still unclear.
Pricing is unannounced, and Japan means importing
Pricing stays under wraps until early sales begin. In China the existing models start at 4,999 yuan (about 118,000 yen) for the X300s, 5,299 yuan (about 126,000 yen) for the X300 Pro and 6,999 yuan (about 166,000 yen) for the X300 Ultra. Given the compromises on the ultra-wide and the SoC, the X300 E should land below that range.
vivo does not sell phones officially in Japan. Its Japanese subsidiary, vivo Japan, had its corporate registration closed on November 1, 2024, so an official Japanese launch of the X300 E is unlikely. Parallel imports are the realistic option, but buyers need to check radio certification, supported bands and how Google services behave on the Chinese version of OriginOS.
