SanDisk has launched a high-capacity 1TB microSD card under its SanDisk brand. Read speeds reach up to 160MB/s and write speeds up to 90MB/s, with UHS-I support, so it can be used in devices like the Nintendo Switch (per the official Twitter account). And to mark the release, a giveaway campaign is also running on the official Twitter.

Not too long ago, even 1GB cards were expensive and hard to afford, so finally hitting 1TB really does feel like a milestone moment. The price is on the higher end, sure, but it lets you record video for hours nonstop or haul around a massive amount of hi-res audio data — pretty extravagant ways to use it, and that's a big part of the appeal.
