These days, more and more people are choosing not to install a wired internet connection at home, but if you want to comfortably watch YouTube, hulu, or NETFLIX, a fast fixed-line connection is still the way to go. Also, smartphone mobile data has a monthly cap on how much you can use, but with a fixed line there's basically no cap, so you can use it without worrying about your data allowance.
