The body measures 264.2mm tall, 172.9mm wide and 4.7mm thick. It weighs roughly 439g in the standard model and about 454g in the anti-glare edition. Tablets in the 12-inch class tend to grow thicker because a larger surface area demands more structural rigidity, and the MatePad Pro 12 pushes back against that constraint with a unibody metal frame.

Written out as raw figures the difference looks small, but 439g at a 12-inch screen size changes how the tablet feels when you hold it one-handed to read or take notes. The display is a 12-inch flexible OLED running at 3036 by 1952 with a pixel density of 302ppi. Screen-to-body ratio is 93 percent, contrast is rated at 2,000,000 to 1, and peak brightness reaches 1,600 nits. It covers 1.07 billion colors and the P3 wide color gamut, a specification clearly aimed at photo and video editing.

The higher-tier PaperMatte edition uses a diffusion panel that scatters incoming light to cut reflections from lamps and sunlight. The surface takes on a paper-like texture, which suits stylus writing and long reading sessions. For anyone who works outdoors, that matters more than the brightness figure. The trade-off, as noted above, is the extra 15g, so buyers who prioritize weight should stay with the standard model.

Kirin T93 and HarmonyOS 6.1

The processor is the Kirin T93, with the more affordable Enjoy Edition using the Kirin T93A. The operating system is HarmonyOS 6.1. Memory is 12GB, and storage comes in 256GB and 512GB configurations.

On the back sits a 50MP camera with an F1.8 aperture and autofocus. The standard model adds a second-generation color-reproduction sensor and an LED flash, both of which the Enjoy Edition drops. The front camera is 12MP at F2.4. Only the standard model supports 4K video recording.

For charging, the bundled 66W adapter fills the battery in about 53 minutes. Wired reverse charging tops out at 40W, so the tablet can feed a phone or a pair of earbuds. Connectivity covers USB Type-C with USB 3.1 Gen 1 and DisplayPort 1.2, Bluetooth 6.0, and NearLink. There are four speakers and four microphones.

Pricing and Global Availability

In China the tablet starts at 5,699 CNY (about 136,000 yen), in five finishes: cherry pink gold, blue, white, silver and space grey. Accessories include a keyboard case with a multitouch trackpad and a stylus.
