FCNT will begin rolling out the SIM-free version of its flagship arrows handset, the arrows Alpha2 M10, on August 27. A 5,370mAh silicon-carbon battery fits into a body roughly 8.6mm thick, and FCNT rates it for two days of use on a single charge. The phone also inherits the series' toughness, meeting 23 MIL-STD test items and passing a 1.8m drop test onto concrete without cracking the display. Pricing is 94,900 yen for 8GB + 256GB and 118,800 yen for 12GB + 512GB.

A Bigger Battery Without a Thicker Body

The battery is the headline change. This is the first arrows phone to use a silicon-carbon cell, and at 5,370mAh it is the largest the series has shipped. Adding silicon to the anode raises how much charge a given volume can hold, which is how FCNT kept the body to about 8.6mm and 187g. Those numbers are ordinary for a 6.4-inch phone, so none of the usual bulk that comes with a large battery is present here.

For runtime, FCNT cites its own benchmark of 10 hours of daily use: 200 minutes of video, 150 minutes of music streaming, 160 minutes of social media, and 90 minutes of gaming. It calls that two days. The figure is an estimate, but the conditions behind it are spelled out clearly enough to judge for yourself.

Longevity is addressed as well. FCNT's charge-control system is simulated over 1,000 full cycles at one cycle every 1.5 days, roughly 4.1 years, and retains 80 percent of the original capacity at that point. Charging from 1 to 100 percent takes about 40 minutes. Direct power feeding, which routes power to the handset rather than through the battery, reduces the strain of playing games while plugged in.

What "Toughest in the World" Actually Means

FCNT describes the phone as the toughest in the world. Its definition of the world covers 196 countries including Japan, and the claim rests on four conditions: compliance with 23 items of the US Department of Defense MIL-STD-810H procurement standard, IP6X dust resistance plus IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance, the ability to shoot underwater in fresh water such as a river, and clearing a 1.8m drop test onto concrete as measured by display cracking.

IPX9 covers resistance to 80-degree water sprayed at 80 to 100 bar, a rating rarely seen on consumer smartphones. The display uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the back panel is scratch-resistant glass fiber. The body is a flat aluminum design with no steps, so the durability engineering does not show up as visual bulk.

None of this guarantees the phone will survive a fall. It is a design tuned to resist cracking, which is a different claim from being unbreakable.

Upper Mid-Range Internals, Three AI Assistants

The processor is a Dimensity 8350 Extreme running Android 16. The SIM-free model comes in 12GB + 512GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations, both accepting microSDXC cards up to 2TB. Virtual memory adds up to 16GB, so the 12GB model can address the equivalent of 24GB.

The display is a 6.4-inch OLED panel at 1200 x 2670 and 460ppi. LTPO driving supports refresh rates up to 144Hz, and peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits for outdoor visibility. Dolby Atmos spatial audio and hi-res playback are both supported.

The main camera is a roughly 50.3-megapixel unit built on Sony's 1/1.56-inch LYTIA 710 sensor, which FCNT says cuts noise in low light by about 15 percent compared with the original arrows Alpha. The ultra-wide and front cameras are each around 49.9 megapixels, and 4K/60fps video recording is supported.

On the software side, FCNT bundles its own arrows AI alongside Perplexity, Copilot and Google Gemini. The idea is to split tasks by tool: arrows AI for transcription and notification summaries, Perplexity for search and fact checking. An action key that holds up to three assignments can launch any of them with a single press. The pulse sensor below the camera, which tracks autonomic nervous system trends under the supervision of a Kyoto University professor emeritus, carries over as well.

FCNT guarantees up to three OS upgrades and five years of security updates. Recycled aluminum and recycled plastic account for about 60 percent of total component weight excluding electrical and electronic parts, which earned the phone Eco Mark certification as a smartphone.

Price and Where to Buy

The SIM-free model comes in Indigo, White, Red and Blue Green. The 8GB + 256GB version is 94,900 yen and the 12GB + 512GB version is 118,800 yen, restrained pricing for a flagship in a market where 150,000 yen and up has become normal.
