Minisforum, a Hong Kong company well known in the mini PC scene, is running an online sale on its official online store. The product called out in the title is the UM680 Slim.
Some products ship from a Japan domestic warehouse and can arrive in as little as five days. With prices like these, this might be a good moment to consider a mini PC. (As someone with a small room, I get the urge for a high-spec mini PC on a regular basis.)
The sale also covers more than just mini PCs. Keyboards, docking stations, OCuLink eGPU boxes, and other peripherals are well represented, so it is worth checking out if you want to put together a complete PC setup in one go.
Standout Sale Models and Recommended Picks
"MS-01" Mini Workstation with Core i5
The "MS-01" is an older model, but it is a high-performance mini workstation built around the Intel Core i5-12600H processor. In a compact 196x189x48 mm chassis, the spec is well suited for networking work and gaming setups. On top of strong CPU performance with 12 cores and 16 threads, the headline feature is the rich networking: two 10Gbps SFP+ LAN ports, two 2.5Gbps LAN ports, and two USB4 ports. The barebone sale price starts at 64,980 yen (regular price 87,980 yen).
It supports DDR5-5200MHz memory and includes an M.2 2280 SSD slot. Sold as a barebone kit, you can freely customize memory and storage to fit your needs, which is part of the appeal.
The successor model MS-02 is also on sale, with options as high as the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX (5.4 GHz, 16 cores/32 threads), starting at 134,390 yen for the barebone. The newer model is more powerful, but it is also a lot more expensive, so I would recommend the older model now that it has dropped in price.

"UN150P" Entry-Level Model with Intel N Series
If you want an affordable mini PC for things like building a NAS, the entry-level "UN150P" with the Intel N150 processor is the one to look at. The DDR4 16GB RAM + 256GB SSD configuration is on sale at 28,980 yen (regular price 35,990 yen).
The N150 is the successor to the N100. They both have four cores and four threads, but clock speed is bumped from 3.40 GHz to 3.6 GHz. Benchmarks suggest the difference is not negligible, and given the modest price gap between the two, I would recommend going with the N150 if you are buying now.
In a super-compact 127.5x112.4x40 mm body, you still get an M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSD slot, a 2.5-inch SATA slot (SATA 3.0 6.0Gb/s), a TF card slot, and a 2.5G LAN port. Expandability is more than respectable. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are included, and the spec is plenty for everyday use. With the SATA slot on board, you might as well throw in a high-capacity SSD or HDD. The one downside, personally, is that it is DDR4. On the other hand, DDR4 memory is cheap, so it is easy to load up on capacity.

The combination of a high-end mini PC and an OCuLink-connected eGPU box, in particular, has a certain romance to it: a space-saving setup most of the time that can pivot into a gaming environment whenever you want.
