Lecoo, a Lenovo sub-brand, has added two configurations to the 2026 Lecoo Air14 lineup. They are built around Intel's Core 3 304 and Core 5 320, filling the space above and below the existing Core 5 315 model. The laptop weighs about 990 grams and measures roughly 12.95mm thick. Sales in China begin on August 18.

990 Grams and 12.95mm in a Metal Chassis

Lecoo Air14 is best described as a thin-and-light machine built to a price. The chassis is all metal, about 12.95mm thick, and weighs around 990 grams. Most 14-inch laptops land somewhere between 1.2kg and 1.4kg, so anything under 1kg counts as light in this class.

Metal adds rigidity but also cost and weight, which is why plastic tends to win at entry-level prices. Choosing metal anyway and still staying under 1kg is what makes this model worth a look.

The New Options Are Core 3 304 and Core 5 320

The additions are a lower-tier configuration with the Core 3 304 and a higher-tier one with the Core 5 320. The Core 3 304 has 5 cores and 5 threads, while the Core 5 320 has 6 cores and 6 threads, matching the Core 5 315 that was already on sale.

Neither chip uses simultaneous multithreading, so thread counts match core counts. That reads as a decision to hold down power draw and heat for a thin chassis rather than chase multithreaded performance. The target is everyday work: a browser, office applications, and video playback.

Both configurations carry 12GB of LPDDR5-5600 memory. Storage is a 512GB NVMe SSD on the Core 3 304 model and 1TB on the Core 5 320 model. At 12GB, memory sits between the usual 8GB and 16GB tiers, which leaves more headroom than an 8GB machine when several applications stay open.

A 16:10 Display at 1,920 by 1,200 with 100 Percent sRGB

The display is a 14-inch LCD running at 1,920 by 1,200 with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The taller ratio shows more vertical content, which pays off for anyone who spends the day in documents and web pages.

Typical brightness is 300 nits, and color coverage is 100 percent of sRGB. That is not enough for direct sunlight, but it is workable indoors. The panel also supports DC dimming, which reduces flicker at lower brightness levels. The keyboard backlight has 3 levels.

Three USB Type-C Ports and Charging up to 100W

Connectivity consists of 3 USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Two of the ports handle USB 5Gbps data, DisplayPort 1.4 video output, and USB Power Delivery at up to 100W. The third handles USB 5Gbps data.

The bundled charger is rated at 65W, but the laptop accepts charging up to 100W, so a higher-output charger you already own can be put to use. Lenovo quotes about 16.8 hours of battery life for office work. Real figures depend on the workload, but the design aims at a full day out of the house without a charger in the bag.

There is no USB Type-A port and no dedicated video output. Anyone still using USB-A peripherals or an HDMI display will need an adapter or a dock alongside the laptop.

Priced from 3,999 Yuan, or 3,399 Yuan with the Subsidy

In China, the Core 3 304 configuration with 12GB of memory and a 512GB SSD is priced at 3,999 yuan (about 94,000 yen). With the national subsidy applied, it drops to 3,399.15 yuan (about 80,000 yen).

The higher-tier Core 5 320 configuration with 12GB of memory and a 1TB SSD costs 5,199 yuan (about 123,000 yen), or 4,419.15 yuan (about 104,000 yen) with the subsidy. Doubling the storage and stepping up the processor works out to a gap of roughly 1,200 yuan.

Sales begin in China on August 18. Pricing and availability outside China have not been announced. Lecoo is a Lenovo brand aimed at the Chinese market, so it is reasonable to assume these configurations are unlikely to reach overseas shelves as they are.

Summary

The 2026 Lecoo Air14 lineup now includes configurations with the Core 3 304 and the Core 5 320. A metal chassis of about 990 grams and 12.95mm holds a 16:10 14-inch panel, 12GB of LPDDR5-5600, and 3 USB Type-C ports, with pricing from 3,999 yuan. This is not a machine chasing outright performance, but the balance of weight and price makes it worth considering. It goes on sale in China on August 18, with no word yet on markets elsewhere.
