HMD has announced four new Nokia-branded 4G feature phones: the Nokia 200 4G, Nokia 210 4G, Nokia 215 4G 2nd Edition, and Nokia 235 4G 2nd Edition. The highlight is the on-device AI assistant found on all four phones, called up with a dedicated AI button at the center of the D-pad. Instead of tapping apps on a large touchscreen, you launch a voice assistant with a single button, an approach that suits a key-driven phone.
Powered by Sikey AI, free for the first 180 days
The assistant runs on a system called Sikey AI. It can answer basic questions and control device functions by voice, so checking the weather, running a quick lookup, or opening a setting can all be done just by speaking.
The pricing model is unusual. According to HMD's spec pages, the AI assistant is free for the first 180 days, after which it requires a paid subscription. Curiously, you need a separate smartphone to purchase that subscription, a telling limitation for such a pared-down device.
Video calls, and USB-C hardware
Beyond calls and messaging, all four support video calling through Xpress, using the front VGA camera. Rear cameras appear on the Nokia 210 4G and Nokia 235 4G, with the 235 4G carrying a 2-megapixel sensor.
Displays measure either 2.4 or 2.8 inches depending on the model, all at QVGA-class resolution. The phones run S30+, the familiar operating system for Nokia feature phones. Each packs a 1,450 mAh battery, supports Bluetooth 5.0, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and USB-C charging.
Taking the entry-level Nokia 200 4G as an example, it weighs about 92g, supports microSD cards up to 32GB, and offers dual SIM (nanoSIM) across 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, with a rated standby time of up to 13 days.

HMD has not revealed pricing or availability. Feature phones retain steady demand among users who mainly want calls and messaging, and HMD has layered voice AI, USB-C, and video calling on top. It is a launch that reflects HMD's commitment to keep updating deliberately simple phones in a smartphone-dominated era.
