EIZO has set September 18, 2026 as the release date for the FlexScan EV3451X, a 34.1-inch ultrawide curved monitor. Pricing is open, with the EIZO Direct store listing it at 109,890 yen including tax. The headline feature is a 7-year standard warranty, which EIZO says is a first for any monitor. The product itself was announced back in June, and this announcement finally pins down the shipping date and the street price.

What the 7-Year Warranty Actually Covers

Five years has long been the practical ceiling for monitor warranties. The EV3451X stretches that to seven. EIZO states, based on its own research as of June 2026, that this is the first monitor in the world to ship with a 7-year standard warranty.

There are conditions. Alongside the seven-year window, coverage is capped at 30,000 hours of use, and repair costs are free of charge except in cases covered by the exclusion clauses. At 8 hours a day across 250 working days a year, 30,000 hours works out to roughly 15 years. For a machine running a normal office workweek, the calendar limit will realistically arrive first.

EIZO attributes the extended coverage to handling planning, development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales service in house. The company is headquartered in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture, and finishes its products domestically. Turning that into a warranty figure is a straightforward way to make the point. For organizations that plan on long refresh cycles, this matters more than the sticker price.

A 34.1-Inch, 21:9 Canvas

The panel is 34.1 inches at UWQHD resolution (3,440 by 1,440 pixels) with a 21:9 aspect ratio. That is 2.4 times the information a Full HD monitor can show, enough to place documents and a web browser side by side without overlapping windows.

You could cover the same area with two monitors, but then a bezel sits in the middle of your workspace. A single surface keeps eye movement natural and cuts down on window shuffling. The curvature is 3800R, so both edges of the panel bend gently toward the viewer. Even at this width, text near the edges stays readable without leaning around.

The monitor also supports Picture by Picture (PbyP), showing two PCs side by side. A built-in KVM switch lets one mouse and keyboard set connected to the monitor USB hub serve multiple PCs, switchable from the front buttons or a hotkey. Running a corporate laptop and a test desktop from a single input set is the obvious use case. Note that hotkey switching works only while PbyP is active.

How Much One Cable Handles

USB Type-C sits at the center of the connectivity story. A single cable carries video while delivering up to 94W to a laptop, the highest power delivery figure across EIZO monitors. Not having to reconnect a power adapter every time you sit down is a small thing that adds up daily.

There is also a built-in 2.5 Gigabit wired LAN port. Thin laptops that dropped their Ethernet jacks get a wired connection through that same single USB Type-C cable. MAC address pass-through is supported as well, temporarily substituting the monitor MAC address with the registered one from the PC, so the setup works on corporate networks that manage devices by MAC address.

The display modes include BT.709, the broadcast standard, which is handy for rough previews during video work. Two color options are offered, black (EV3451X-BK) and white (EV3451X-WT), with the stand and cables matched to the body.

Summary

The FlexScan EV3451X pairs a 34.1-inch UWQHD ultrawide curved panel with what EIZO calls the first 7-year standard warranty on a monitor. A single USB Type-C cable covers video, up to 94W of power delivery and 2.5 Gigabit wired networking, which suits a laptop-centered desk well. It ships on September 18, 2026 at 109,890 yen including tax through EIZO Direct. The upfront price is not cheap, but for buyers who calculate cost per unit across seven years of coverage, it earns a place on the shortlist.
