Logitech (sold under the Logicool brand in Japan) will release the Mobi Fold, its first mobile wireless mouse with a folding design, on July 2, 2026. Folded, it slims down to roughly 21mm thick and weighs only about 79g. Borrowing the idea of a vertically folding smartphone, it offers a fresh answer to the long-standing question of how to carry a bulky mouse alongside a laptop. Direct sales pricing is 14,850 yen for the consumer model MF900 and 16,390 yen for the business model MF900B.
Nearly Half the Size When Folded, Small Enough for a Pocket
The defining feature of the Mobi Fold is a body that folds in half lengthwise. Unfolded, it measures 57 x 122 x 33mm, but folding it shrinks the length to almost half at 57 x 66 x 21mm, letting it slip into a shirt pocket or a small gap in a bag. The palm side is covered in dust-resistant silicone, and the folding section has a bellows-like appearance that resists dirt and dust buildup.
Built for life on the road, the mouse has also been engineered for durability: it has cleared drop tests from up to about 90cm and more than 50,000 folding cycles. Even at 10 folds a day, that works out to over 10 years of use, which is reassuring for a tool that gets tossed into a bag every day. The housing uses certified recycled plastic, a modern touch on the environmental front as well.
An "Adaptive Touch Scroll" Instead of a Wheel
Alongside the folding mechanism, the other distinctive feature is a control layout with no physical scroll wheel. Between the left and right click buttons sits a touch-sensitive strip called the adaptive touch scroll, which replicates wheel scrolling when you slide your finger up or down. A quick swipe lets you race through long pages at high speed. Buttons are built into the top and bottom of the touch area, functioning as forward and back by default.
The mouse works with the Logi Options+ utility, where you can change the sensor resolution and reassign the touch scroll buttons. It also supports macros via Smart Actions and gesture assignments, so despite its folding form factor, customization flexibility is on par with the company's regular mice. The optical sensor offers 400 to 4,000 dpi resolution, with 4 buttons in total.
A 30-Day Battery and Two Wireless Connection Options
For connectivity, the Mobi Fold supports both Bluetooth and Logi Bolt, the company's proprietary 2.4GHz wireless standard. It can pair with up to 3 devices, with an Easy-Switch function that changes the active connection at the press of a button. One thing to note is receiver availability: the consumer MF900 does not include a Logi Bolt receiver, while the business MF900B comes with a USB Type-C receiver. Consumer buyers who want to use Logi Bolt will need to purchase a receiver separately.
The built-in battery runs for up to 30 days on a full charge. If you notice a dead battery while out and about, a 1-minute quick charge provides about 22 hours of use, so as long as you have a USB Type-C cable on hand, you are unlikely to be left stranded. Charging goes through the Type-C port, though wired operation as a corded mouse is not supported.
Supported platforms are broad: Windows 10/11 or later, macOS 12 or later, iPadOS 15 or later, ChromeOS, Android OS 12 or later, and Linux. It comes in 3 colors: graphite, off-white, and a direct-sales-exclusive lilac (the business model is graphite only).
Summary
The Mobi Fold combines the portability of a fold-flat 21mm, 79g body with practical features such as touch scrolling, dual wireless connectivity, and a 30-day battery, making it Logitech's first foldable mouse. It goes on sale July 2, 2026, with the consumer model priced at 14,850 yen through direct sales. That is a premium price for a mobile mouse, but it looks like a genuinely interesting answer to the perennial problem of a mouse taking up too much space in your bag.
